In Jesus Revolution, the power of faith collides with the turbulent spirit of the 1960s and ’70s, in a feature film inspired by a true story of rebirth and revolution. It’s the story of Greg Laurie and Cathe, a hippie couple from Southern California, navigating the intersection of the Jesus Movement and the charismatic preacher Chuck Smith. Set against a backdrop of social unrest, musical revolution, and communal living, the film follows Laurie, who finds himself at the epicenter of an emerging Christian movement when he’s befriended by Smith.

The film masterfully delves into their lives as these pioneers paved the way for many others through non-traditional ways of worship and unconventional church gatherings that brought multitudes together to listen to rock music while seeking spiritual guidance.
