That’s exactly what happens in the movie Lightyear, which tells the origin story of the iconic character Buzz Lightyear from the beloved Toy Story franchise. This film is not just a spin-off, but a standalone adventure that takes us on an epic journey through space and time. The movie follows the story of Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear, who after being stranded on a hostile planet with his commanding officer and their crew must find a way to repair their ship and get back home. However, things take a drastic turn when Buzz discovers that the years keep passing on Earth while only minutes pass for him on the planet. With his trusty robot companion Sox by his side, Buzz must confront his own mortality and the true meaning of loyalty, friendship, and time.
